Meet Your Forest: Tree and Fungi Walk and Talk
UF IFAS Extension Hillsborough County is hosting Meet Your Forest: Tree and Fungi Walk and Talk in Lithia on Thursday, October 29 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
This educational outdoor walk is led by UF IFAS Extension Urban Forestry Agent Alyssa Vinson. Guests will learn about local trees, fungi and ecosystems while exploring the park.
The walk will cover tree identification techniques, including how to use iNaturalist to document findings. Attendees should be prepared to walk with closed-toe shoes, water, a hat and other outdoor essentials.
A map with the exact meeting location will be emailed the day before the event. The organizer notes that the event is free, but Lithia Springs Park has a $2 entry fee.
